About the Candidate

Michael Bruegel

My family and I have been proud residents of McKinney since 2005, and for the past 12 years, we’ve loved every minute of calling the Eldorado community our home. It’s been a journey full of cherished memories and deep friendships! This June, I’m thrilled to celebrate 20 amazing years with my wife, Ashley, who heads the Art department at McKinney Christian Academy. Our boys, Chase (15) and Preston (13), are students there, chasing dreams in football and track while soaking up every bit of fun this community offers.

Living just a quick stroll (500 yards!) from the clubhouse, we’ve embraced El Dorado life to the fullest. I’ve actively participated in MGA events and even spiced things up by creating a lively golf group (with help from a few others) that adds an extra layer of fun to the course every year. Serving on the Ambassador Club gave me insight into what keeps our community strong, and I’m ready to contribute even more. I am on top of most things going on within the club and can recommend several current Eldo employee references if needed for more support for the opportunity to be on the board.

Professionally, I’m a mortgage and finance guy with American National Bank and Trust, a proudly Texas-based, employee-owned bank. My background in marketing and finance, combined with my time playing football at TCU (Go Frogs!), gives me a fresh outlook and a knack for making things happen.

I’m all about enhancing the social heartbeat of our club, and I’d love to kick things up a notch: Let’s Make Eldo Great Again (MEGA)! Whether it’s hosting new, engaging events or building even stronger community ties or getting more member involvement, I’m ready to jump in and work with you all to make our club even more extraordinary.

I’d be honored to earn your support for the board. Here’s to making Eldorado the best it can be—together! Let’s keep creating unforgettable experiences!

Thank You
